A new blog that I have created.
GetCultural has been fun, but this will be a new beginning.
This blog will still remain open for viewing, but will not be updated beyond this point.
Thank you.
Damn. Probably one of my top 5 favorite television shows, ever. Smart Guy is a very genius sitcom/comedy television show with its own little twist. If you are familiar with this show, then you know what I am talking about. I was randomly searching on youtube one day and came across an episode. Once I watched it, I started to reminisce and searched for more. Probably watched every single video available on youtube. So why not share some with you guys?
This episode is when Destiny’s Child made an appearance on the show. Feel it, Enjoy it, Love it.
Yeah, I know I haven’t been up to date with blogging and what not. But I am going to blog more often now. Just wanted to leave a note that I am not inactive forever, and I’m gonna resume blogging. So yeah. Be on the look out!
If you haven’t noticed. I have been going on a Hip-Hop blogging streak within the last 3 posts. Lol, well perfect way to wrap it up. I found this really appealing and jumped at it at my first sight. After watching this video, I asked myself: When did I first fall in love with Hip-Hop?
I fell in love with hip-hop when I was about 12 years old. I heard Talib Kweli’s Never Been In Love. And from there the rest was history. The song just appealed to my emotions and soul, and I felt the song through my ears, and in my heart. I loved how the song sounded, and loved how advanced and expressed Talib’s rhymes were. From then on, I just fell in love with Hip-Hop, the culture, the way of life, everything. Hip-Hop has definitely changed my life.
Hip-hop is supposed to uplift and create, to educate people on a larger level and to make a change. – Doug E. Fresh
Classic. Showing Love to Hip-Hop in an analogy in presentation of a movie, you can’t really ask for a better flick if you’re a love sick hip-hop head. This movie is a very dope romantic comedy very close to my heart. Love is the main theme, but is also presented behind an alter ego in the form of Hip-Hop. To those who have seen it, I bet can relate to my thoughts.
Pretty sick shit. I remembered when this premiered on the first ever BET Hip Hop Awards. Dug it up from the favorites list and decided to blog about it. I remember when I was watching the awards and this came up right before a commercial. Damn. These three dudes are monsters. Styles P., Papoose, and Lupe. Personally, I thought Lupe killed it. But the other two dudes were dope all the same.
Encountered this thought today at school. In one class we were watching Coach Carter, and as we all know, Ashanti is in that movie. When she was first shown in the video, I had forgotten Ashanti’s name and in my head, mistaken her for Christina Milian. But then I realized it was Ashanti. This just brought up a random and weird thought, I wonder where she is now?
Funny altercation + moment on how I encountered this old track and all the groove it brings with it. Anyways, gotta peep it and feel the vibes. Put your other music players on lock down and enjoy. Why? because here, we’re dope like that.
